Laurie is a retired fire captain. She lives in the desert of Nevada in the winter and roams the mountains of Colorado in the summer. After a bicycle accident and a bad brain injury, Laurie, who was once more of a math/science kind of gal, now finds the creative part of her brain kicking in. She has been writing ever since. Any local coffee shop makes for a good place to write.
With six grandchildren, Laurie finds herself concentrating her stories on the MG and YA genres. Her grandchildren like to help by offering up their imaginative ideas. Their lingo skills are often put to use. I would have never thought this about writing, but "Brah, this is so lit!"
